Our Programs
Emergency Response Program
Through our Emergency Response Programme, we strive to provide direct aid to those affected by conflict as quickly as possible. A rapid and efficient response to emergencies is central to our work, which mainly includes emergency preparedness and early action, and promotes adaptability and growth.
Smilyvist plans to respond to the emergencies and needs of families fleeing violence by providing access to primary health care services, such as screening for malnutrition, mental health and psychosocial support, as well as relief supplies like takeaways, dignity baskets, non-food items, personal hygiene kits, and others.
The Smilyvist Rapid Response team is composed of qualified professionals who deliver weekly updates on the humanitarian situation in their area of response, including the number of newly displaced individuals. These reports are analysed, and work begins immediately to determine the best course of action for responding to and addressing the emergency. They also inform other programs and field teams, such as those responsible for water and sanitation, about any issues that need their attention.
